Innovation and Education in a Global Society
Four distinguished thought-leaders, two of whom are UCSC alumni, will explore what a university education should be in a global society. Panelists are (clockwise from lower right): "Innovation guru" John Kao, New York Times senior editor Katy Roberts (moderator), historian and political pundit Victor Davis Hanson, and Silicon Valley leader Shellye Archambeau. Roberts (Kresge '74) and Hanson (Cowell '75) are UCSC graduates.

Day, Time & Location
The event takes place Saturday, April 26, in the Humanities Lecture Hall, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. A reception follows immediately in the adjacent courtyard. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 2:45.
Forum, Followed By Wine Tasting
Immediately following the forum, attendees will walk to an adjacent courtyard for a wine tasting, featuring wines produced by UCSC alumni. The wine tasting is one of many events that are part of UCSC's 2008 Alumni Reunion Weekend.
